Agents of STEM is making a comeback, and 4-H Canada is getting ready for the relaunch with a series of exciting webinars and hands-on workshops designed to inspire youth and equip volunteer leaders.
In January, members can connect with real STEM professionals during the Meet a Real Agent of STEM webinar, exploring exciting career paths and discovering what it’s like to work in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

A virtual leader training session will follow in February 2027, helping volunteers prepare for the official relaunch of the Agents of STEM kits in early 2027.

Shirley Hammond of the Brandon Explorer’s 4-H Club has been honoured for her dedication to 4-H Manitoba.
The longtime volunteer leader, who had also led projects at the Poplar Hill 4-H Club, was recognized for 30 years of service in the 2025-26 4-H year.
Shirley received a 30-year pin from 4-H Manitoba, which was presented at a recent club meeting, and will also be awarded a certificate from the provincial government for her achievement.
Other leaders recognized for their longtime service include:
- Pam Nickel of the Swan Valley Easy Lopers – 30 years
- Barb Larkin of the Headingley 4-H Club – 35 years
- Terry Woychyshyn of the Erickson 4-H Beef Club – 40 years
Manitoba 4-H Council appreciates the volunteer leaders’ commitment to the 4-H program and their efforts to guide 4-H members in their projects and clubs!

Seven 4-H Manitoba members are among the winners of the 2026 4-H Canada Scholarships.
Manitoba 4-H Council Inc. is proud of the accomplishments of Brooklyn Piasta, Emily Robb, Faith Grassinger, Alana McCarthy, Lily Hammond, Ashlyn Whetter and James Young.
The scholarships – sponsored by MNP Maizex Seeds, the Campbellbrook Fund, TD, John Deere Canada and McDonald’s Canada – are awarded to 4-H members across the country who are pursuing post-secondary education in areas including agriculture, business, trades, food systems and more.
