Congratulations to four former 4-Hers – Laura Seward, Darrah Kent, Melanie Buckler and Alyssa Bruce – who have been awarded the 2026 Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarships, worth $10,000 each. The Manitoba Government generously established a $1 million endowment fund with the Brandon Area Community Foundation, which provided $38,462 for scholarships this year.
The scholarships were awarded in honour and recognition of four long-serving leaders:
- the late Brenda Dyck, Woodmore Combined 4-H Club
- Shirley Hammond, Brandon Explorer’s/Poplar Hill 4-H Clubs
- Pam Nickel, Swan Valley Easy Lopers 4-H Club
- Alice Barkman, Stony Ridge Riders 4-H Club
