4-H Manitoba & 4-H Ghana Art Exchange

International Art Exchange between Manitoba & Ghana where members prepare a painting or drawing which shows some aspect of their life. These ‘visual letters’ are mailed to the other country to share with their 4-H members. This is a new opportunity for our 4-H Manitoba members who are 12 – 17 years old.

Participating in this program allows students to explore the similarities between their lives and their peers in another country, gaining a sense of being part of one global community in Canada or Ghana. It provides a significant learning experience across language, social studies, natural science, and the arts, fostering an enduring awareness, understanding, and appreciation of other cultures. Through creating “visual letters,” students share their own culture while learning about art and how to communicate its meaning. This program enhances their ability to visually communicate through artistic expressions, creating a connection that will last a lifetime.
