Japan York-Benimaru Foundation and 4-H Manitoba Homestay Travel Opportunity
In July 2026, ten 4-H Manitoba members and two chaperones will travel to Japan for a two-week cultural exchange.
This exciting opportunity is exclusively available to 4-H families who have hosted a Japanese student through our exchange program.
Program Overview
• Dates: July 4–20, 2026
• Location: Tokyo & Fukushima Prefecture, Japan
• Participants: 10 youth delegates + 2 chaperones
• Activities: Cultural tours, 5-day Japanese school experience, and homestay with a Japanese family
Eligibility
Applicants must:
• Have hosted a Japanese 4-H delegate/chaperone for a minimum of two weeks between 2013 and 2025
• Be 16–18 years old as of July 4, 2026
• Be currently enrolled in 4-H (2025–26) or have been enrolled within the past three years (2022/23 or later)
• Attend the day-long Selection Workshop on December 6, 2025 (Brandon or Portage la Prairie)
