Congratulations to 4-H Manitoba Members Who Are Among the Recipients of 2026 4-H Canada Scholarships

Seven 4-H Manitoba members are among the winners of the 2026 4-H Canada Scholarships.

Manitoba 4-H Council Inc. is proud of the accomplishments of Brooklyn Piasta, Emily Robb, Faith Grassinger, Alana McCarthy, Lily Hammond, Ashlyn Whetter and James Young.

The scholarships – sponsored by MNP Maizex Seeds, the Campbellbrook Fund, TD, John Deere Canada and McDonald’s Canada – are awarded to 4-H members across the country who are pursuing post-secondary education in areas including agriculture, business, trades, food systems and more.

4-H Manitoba Senior Members’ Event – Registration Closes September 28, 2026

This year’s event will take place at Camp Assiniboia, October 23-25, 2026. The event theme is “From Project to Possibilities.” Registration is open on the 4-H Manitoba Database, with an Early Bird Registration cost of $100.00, until Sept. 14. Manitoba 4-H Council staff will be hitting the road to five locations throughout the province in November to offer training and networking opportunities for 4-H leaders. The roadshow will be held at:

  • Oak Point Community Centre – November 6
  • Mennonite Village in Steinbach – November 7
  • Gainsborough Hall – November 8
  • Baptist Church in Souris – November 14
  • Dauphin Friendship Centre – November 15

4-H Canada Leaders Learn Series Set to Launch This Month

4-H Canada will be offering the Leaders Learn Series, a national webinar series designed to support volunteer leaders with practical tools, fresh ideas, and resources they can use in their clubs right away.

The series kicks off Wednesday, September 16 and will continue on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. ET, featuring speakers from across the 4-H network on topics that strengthen club leadership, enhance program delivery, and enrich the volunteer experience. The series will run from September 2026 to March 2027, with no session in December.

Upcoming sessions include:

  • September 16: FCC Club Funds with 4-H Canada’s Katie Kissick
  • October 21: Urban Clubs: Short-Term, Big Impact: How 4-H Intro Clubs Are Growing Membership in New Ways with 4-H Alberta’s Lori Neilson
  • November 18: Running a Virtual Cooking Club and Make Some Pizza with 4-H Ontario Leader John Drummond
  • January 20: 4-H Canada’s Youth Advisory Committee
  • February 17: Agents of STEM: Mission Ready Leader Training with 4-H Canada’s Chelsea Crawford and 4-H Manitoba YAC member Ashlyn Whetter
  • March 17: DEIA session — details to be confirmed

2026-27 FCC 4-H Club Fund – Deadline to Apply is October 31, 2026

Through this partnership, 4-H Canada and FCC are providing financial support to 4-H clubs, districts, and regions across Canada to help strengthen the 4-H movement and support local programming.

A total of $100,000 in grants of up to $500 will be available to support initiatives focused on growth, inclusion, and volunteer capacity.

Funding can be used for a variety of activities, including volunteer development, promoting 4-H in your community, reducing barriers to participation, supporting local events, purchasing resources, and more.
