During our 4th Agri-Career Quest, held May 20th – 23, senior and adult 4-H members travelled north to explore a variety of career opportunities within Manitoba’s agriculture and natural resources sectors.
One of our stops was in Swan River, where members met Conservation Officer Noah Klos. He provided great insight into his career path and what led him to be in Conservation. His love of his career was evident and appreciated.
Noah also provided information for anyone that might be interested in pursuing work in his field. They provide ride-along opportunities so that people can get a better idea of the work they do. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact the 4-H Office and they will get you the form to fill out. Additionally, there are opportunities for summer employment as a Patrol Officer throughout the Province. The competition for summer 2027 opportunities will open this coming November/December, and details can be found on the Manitoba Government Job Opportunities website or by following the Manitoba Conservation Officer Association (MCOA) Facebook and Instagram pages.

Registration is now open for Agri-Career Quest 2026 — an exciting opportunity for Senior and Adult 4-H members to explore the many pathways within the agriculture industry.
We hit the road May 20th, and this is your chance to join fellow members for a fun-filled and educational three-day experience as you travel north to The Pas and discover how agriculture is approached in a different region of the province. Through hands-on learning, industry tours, and meaningful conversations, participants will gain valuable insight into diverse agricultural practices while building connections with peers and industry professionals.
Agri-Career Quest is a highly valued provincial event that encourages members to broaden their perspectives, explore future career opportunities, and strengthen their leadership skills.

4-H Manitoba’s very popular Agri Career Quest only has seven spots left. If you will be 15-25 years old on January 1, 2024, you are eligible to register. Your spot is secure once the $125.00 registration fee is received and you have enrolled in your 4-H club for the 2023-24 season. Visit https://www.4hmanitoba.ca/ to register. This can be used as your 4-H Project for the 2023/24 year.
