Olympic champion and The Amazing Race Canada host Jon Montgomery, who was a member of the Russell 4-H Beef Club, will receive the 2023 4-H Canada Distinguished Alumni Award. The award is presented to honour the outstanding leadership and contributions of 4-H alumni to their communities, country and the world. Kim Beilby of Brandon has received 4-H Canada’s Honourary Membership, which recognizes individuals who have embodied 4-H values through their life and have delivered outstanding services to one or more levels of the organization. From 1986 to 2005, Kim was the Regional 4-H and Youth Specialist for the Manitoba Department of Agriculture, writing more than 20 4-H project manuals. In 1999, Kim spearheaded the Manitoba 4-H Quality Education educational framework and resource, which became the basis of all leadership development work within 4-H Manitoba.
