Supporter Spotlight – ADAMA Launches GORDEX

ADAMA Launches GORDEX — Supporting 4-H in the Prairie Provinces

An exciting new collaboration is making a meaningful impact on 4-H across the Prairie provinces.

ADAMA has introduced GORDEX, a new cereal pre-seed formulation designed to deliver extended residual control of tough weeds like kochia, with the flexibility to mix with glyphosate for a clean, confident start to the season. What makes this product launch especially remarkable is the story behind its name.

GORDEX is named after Gord Hounjet, a long-term ADAMA employee who played a pivotal role in its creation. As part of the naming honour, Gord requested that a portion of the product’s proceeds be reinvested back into the agriculture community. ADAMA agreed — and invited Gord to choose where the funds would go. His choice was clear: 4-H.

For every case of GORDEX sold in the Prairie provinces, $5 will be donated to the provincial 4-H organizations, helping support youth in agriculture and invest in the next generation of ag leaders.

This initiative reflects an incredible commitment to community, youth development, and the future of Canadian agriculture.

Help make an impact — one case at a time.

Sponsor Spotlight – Nutrien Ag Solutions

Nutrien Ag Solutions Continues to be a Major Supporter of 4-H Manitoba

When asked to speak to the reason Nutrien continues to be a major supporter of 4-H Manitoba, Nutrien said this:

“Nutrien is a proud supporter of 4-H. With the organization’s focus on providing youth education tailored to developing leadership skills, fostering community responsibility, and offering hands-on learning experiences, 4-H aligns closely with our team’s commitment to connecting youth to industry-relevant learning and career pathways.

Through our most recent partnership with 4-H Manitoba, Nutrien supported the 4-H Senior Members’ Event. Kyle Bates, West Manitoba Area Manager for Nutrien, and Sara Cockrill, General Manager for Nutrien’s Manitoba Division, had the opportunity to present to the Senior Members about career journeys in agriculture and the many professional paths that are available within this industry. We are grateful for 4-H and the platform they’ve created to connect with the next generation of agriculture leaders.”

We sincerely thank Nutrien for their belief in 4-H and their continued support. We would not be able to provide exceptional provincial programming without amazing sponsors like Nutrien.
