4-H Out ‘N About

Come and see us at Discover Ag in the City at the Outlet Collection Mall in Winnipeg on Sunday, March 15th from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Amazing 4-H members from the Future Leaders 4-H Club at the University of Manitoba will be there in the afternoon to share their 4-H experience and answer any questions. Hope to see you there!

It’s That Time of Year Again!

The Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is fast approaching and will be held March 30–April 4 at the Keystone Centre in Brandon.

As always, 4-H Manitoba will have a booth set up in the Flynn Arena, where we’ll feature daily crafts and be available to answer questions about 4-H and the many opportunities available to youth across the province.

Be sure to mark your calendar for 4-H Day on Tuesday, March 31! We’ll have a special craft planned for the day, and if you arrive early, you might even receive a 4-H drawstring sportpack (quantities are limited).

And of course, Clover will be there, giving fairgoers the chance to watch a demonstration birth of her calf, Leaf — an experience you won’t want to miss!

4-H Day at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is generously sponsored through the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba by Mazergroup. We thank them for their continued support of the Provincial Ex, the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair, and their belief in the 4-H program.

Two 4-H Manitoba Clubs Among 13 AgriFood Challenge Winners

The Pas Helping Hands’ initiative — From Club to Community to Kitchen to Table – and Balmoral 4-H Club’s initiative — Meet the Pollinators – have been each been awarded $500 through the AgriFood Challenge, delivered by 4-H Canada in partnership with Syngenta Canada.

From building bee hotels and pollinator gardens to reducing food waste and growing produce for local food banks, 4-Hers across the country turned innovative ideas into meaningful community impact. Now in its second year, the Challenge continues to empower young leaders to strengthen sustainable food systems across Canada.
