Manitoba 4-H Council is looking to highlight 4-H members and alumni that have been successful with an entrepreneurial venture. The idea is to have a series of social media posts that focus on current or previous members of 4-H Manitoba who have developed their own business, offering either product or service, and can tie in what they learned through 4-H that helped them to succeed. This will be a great way to both celebrate your success and 4-H and promote your product and/or service through the 4-H Manitoba network. So, whether it is you or someone you know who is, or was a 4-H Manitoba member, we want to hear from you! Spread the word that we are searching for members and alumni to celebrate, and we can have an incredible campaign built around those successes. Please contact Kellie McCallum of the Manitoba 4-H Council at kmccallum@4h.mb.ca with your information.

The Parliamentary Internship for the Environment Program places young environmental leaders on Parliament Hill for paid, full-time, 10-month internships with Members of Parliament from all national parties. Interns gain a deep understanding of the day-to-day workings of Canadian Parliament, a behind-the-scenes look at the policymaking process, and learn from some of Canada’s top environmental changemakers. The program is offering the Specialized Stream in Sustainable Agriculture for a young leader from the prairie provinces (Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba) with an interest and background in agriculture. This stream will continue to advance environmental leadership in agriculture and elevate rural voices in Canada’s environmental space. No political experience or specific level of education is required. This program stream runs from approximately September 2024 to June 2025. For more information, please visit https://www.environmentalleadership.ca/pie and to apply, visit https://airtable.com/appzOnImCnK2CiCSV/shrOGZ9tpZK02t4xg.
