Congratulations to Sandra Duchak, who has been named 4-H Canada’s 2021 National Volunteer Leader of the Year. 4-H Canada has developed the My Plate and the Planet resource, as part of the Healthy Living Initiative, to teach youth, members and leaders all about food security, where our food comes from, and how it impacts our bodies! Activity kits can be used by youth individually, by families at home, or by 4-H clubs gathering virtually or in-person. For more information, visit www.4-h-canada.ca/healthyliving/myplate.
4-H Manitoba members and clubs that want to recognize the outstanding work of their leaders are encouraged to submit nominations for the National Volunteer Leader of the Year Award. Please click here for more information.
4-H Canada recognizes that throughout the response to COVID-19, staff and leaders are finding new ways to virtually engage with our youth members and with one another. Continuing activities that promote connections with peers and 4-H leaders can reduce the vulnerability of isolated youth and is a positive mental health activity for all participants.
