4-H Canada and Syngenta Canada to Continue Empowering Youth Leaders
4-H Canada and Syngenta Canada are pleased to announce the continuation of their successful partnership, which positions Syngenta as the lead partner for programming within 4-H Canada’s Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security leadership development pillar through to 2023. Lots of Fun Planned for 4-H Day at Royal Manitoba Winter Fair – March 29, 2022
Come and share your 4-H pride at the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair! Manitoba 4-H Council staff and representatives will be on hand to celebrate 4-H Day at the RWMF on Tuesday, March 29. Visit our booth in Flynn Arena to take part in a variety of activities including crafting and colouring. M4HC and our sponsors will introduce Clover, a dystocia model that will educate 4-H members and others about a cow’s birthing process. Agriculture Minister Derek Johnson will also bring greetings at 11:30 a.m. The parade of 4-H Manitoba clubs will take place during the evening opening ceremonies in the Main Arena. M4HC staff will be at the Winter Fair daily so drop by the booth and say hi!
New Peavey Mart Discount Cards for 4-Hers
Peavey Mart’s digital version of the 2022 discount card for 4-H Manitoba members will be distributed via email. Head Leaders, members and families are reminded to accept the @4h.mb.ca domain as a trusted sender in their email systems to ensure they will receive correspondence from staff.
Intermediate Members’ Event – Registration Closes April 7, 2022
Celebrate the Winter Olympics with your fellow Intermediate Members. The committee made the decision to host this event in two locations this year. There are lots of spots left at the event on May 14 in La Salle (if they don’t fill up, we will need to cancel the day). Please go to https://www.4hmanitoba.ca/ to register. Click on Events, change the calendar to May and click on the day you want to attend. You will be prompted to complete the registration form. There are only 30 spots available at each location. Please Note: Your $75.00 club fee must be paid for you to take part in this event. We have many fun activities planned for the day, including making a hydraulic lift or lip balm, learning about the 7 teachings and creating an Indigenous craft. You will also take part in a Mini Olympics. Lunch and snacks will be provided. The Intermediate Event has not taken place since 2019, so it would be wonderful to see your smiling faces at this event.
4-H International Art Exchange – Submissions Due by April 16, 2022
The 4-H International Art Exchange is a four-part exchange as Taiwan has now joined Canada, Poland and the United States. If you would like to be part of the exchange, visual letters must be mailed to M4HC Program Coordinator Linda McRae-Walker, 1129 Queens Ave., Brandon R7A 1L9 or if you’re going to attend the Winter Fair, they can be dropped off at the 4-H Manitoba booth in Flynn Arena.
