Aspiring Intermediate Member (AIM) Camp, Alberta: Apply NOW!

M4HC will send two intermediate members to the 4-H Alberta AIM camp from July 28- August 2, 2019.  This 5-day summer camp lets you sleep under the stars and choose your own path to discovery alongside new friends from Alberta. You can choose one of the following areas to focus on at camp: Creative Arts, Dramatic Arts, Entrepreneurship, Healthy Living or Outdoor Explorer. Members will interview for the opportunity either at Intermediate Member Event in Inglis or by phone on May 8.

First Aid Training in Eriksdale – Register by April 15, 2019

M4HC is accepting registrations for First Aid Training to be held in Eriksdale on Sunday, April 28 from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. Registration is open to 4-H leaders, volunteers and members age 15 and older.  Subject to space availability, people in their family may also be accepted. The cost is $50.00 and includes the manual and certificate when you pass the course. Our instructors are St. Johns Ambulance trained and teach the Basic First Aid course (also known as First Aider 1). The primary focus is CPR Level C (adult/infant/child), AED (defibrillator), and emergency situations (eg. choking, bleeding, asthma, allergies). A YPP screened adult with current First Aid training is a “Club in Good Standing” requirement to enable members from your club to participate in Provincial events. Provincial Communications Extravaganza 2019 – April 27, 2019

The 2019 Provincial 4-H Communications Extravaganza will take place at the Canad Inns in Portage La Prairie, 2401 Saskatchewan Avenue West. Registration will begin at 9:15-10:00 a.m. for the morning session and 12:30-1:15 p.m. for the afternoon session. The competition start time for each category will be communicated to the competitors closer to the event date.  Please ensure that your club fees have been paid to Manitoba 4-H Council. If they have not been submitted, you are not eligible to compete. All winners from Area Communications must fill in a Member Event Registration Form and return it to the M4HC office. If you know in advance that you will not be able to compete at the Provincial Competition, please call Courtney at 204-726-6136 or email her at cnewton@4h.mb.ca as soon as possible so that we can notify the Area alternate.
