Manitoba Farm Safety Program will hold its workshop at the Manitoba
Beef and Forage Initiatives Brookdale site north of Brandon. Professional trainer Reg Stewart will
demonstrate how low-stress cattle handling benefits animal welfare and worker
safety, how to assess and improve the safety of cattle handling facilities, and
how to improve communication within your team to increase efficiency. The cost
is $35, which includes lunch. CSA-approved safety footwear must be worn for
those wanting the opportunity to interact with cattle.
