Manitoba Farm Safety Program will hold its workshop at the Manitoba Beef and Forage Initiatives Brookdale site north of Brandon. Professional trainer Reg Stewart will demonstrate how low-stress cattle handling benefits animal welfare and worker safety, how to assess and improve the safety of cattle handling facilities, and how to improve communication within your team to increase efficiency. The cost is $35, which includes lunch. CSA-approved safety footwear must be worn for those wanting the opportunity to interact with cattle.
