COVID-19 Update – July 16, 2021

New health restrictions are in effect as of Saturday, July 17, 2021 and the province remains in the Orange (Restricted) level on the pandemic emergency response system.  The new restrictions will remain in effect until 12:01 a.m. on August 7, 2021.  4-H Manitoba is following provincial health guidelines.   For indoor gatherings on private property, up to 5 visitors are allowed in addition to the residents.  For outdoor gatherings on private property, up to 25 people are allowed.  For indoor gatherings on public property, up to 25 people are allowed, while up to 150 people are allowed at outdoor gatherings on public property.  Please call your Club Support Coordinator for more information.  Please click here to read the current Manitoba Public Health Order.

New health restrictions took effect as of Saturday, June 12, 2021 and the province remains in the Red (Critical) level on the pandemic emergency response system.  The new restrictions will remain in effect until 12:01 a.m. on June 26, 2021.  4-H Manitoba is following provincial health guidelines which allow outdoor gatherings.  Groups gathering in public outdoor spaces are limited to five people in total.  Outdoors on private property, people can have up to 5 visitors in addition to the household.  The visitors should be from no more than two households.  Please call your Club Support Coordinator for more information.  Please click here to read the current Manitoba Public Health Order.

COVID-19 Update – May 3, 2021

M4HC has received an update from the Manitoba government regarding Equine and Beef activities. Please see below.

New health restrictions are in effect as of Wednesday, April 28, 2021 and the province remains in the Red (Critical) level on the pandemic emergency response system.  The new restrictions will remain in effect until 12:01 a.m. on May 25, 2021, unless terminated earlier.  4-H Manitoba clubs are reminded to follow provincial health guidelines, as well as the 4-H specific requirements listed here.

These new restrictions affect 4-H in-person activities as follows:

All indoor, in-person, activities are prohibited.

All outdoor gatherings on the property on which a private residence is located are prohibited.

All persons are prohibited from assembling in a gathering of more than 10 persons at an outdoor public place (Fairgrounds, etc).

Outdoor horseback riding lessons are permitted.

Group sizes are limited to 10 people on public property, unless all persons are participating in an organized practice, game or competition at an outdoor sporting facility.

Indoor horseback riding facilities – may open for individual play, group and individual instruction, and team practices, if:

  • Any group of persons participating in a sporting activity at the facility does not exceed 10 persons, excluding coaches or instructors
  • Reasonable measures are taken to ensure there is no interaction between different groups of participants
  • Dressing rooms are limited to 25% of the usual capacity or to a number that ensures that all persons in the dressing room are able to maintain a separation of at least two metres from others.
  • Members of the public at the facility are able to maintain separation of at least two metres from other members of the public while not engaged in a sporting activity
  • Occupancy of all portions of the facility other than dressing rooms and areas where sporting activities are conducted is limited to 25% of the usual capacity

Livestock auctions are permitted. The operator must implement measures to ensure that members of the public attending the business or facility are reasonably able to maintain a separation of at least two metres from other members of the public.

We must all work together to take the safest approach for all, especially with the increasing number of youth affected by this third wave.  Limiting close contacts is an approach we can actively take to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Limited 4-H In-person Activities To Resume – April 21, 2021

The Manitoba Government has confirmed that 4-H meetings and events can take place but need to adhere to the current public gathering restrictions, in addition to the 4-H specific requirements listed here.

At this time, a maximum of 5 people may attend a gathering in an indoor public place or the common areas of a multi-unit residence, and 10 people may attend an outdoor gathering.

In the case of an outdoor gathering on the property on which a private residence is located, the household members are included in the 10 person limit.

Please note that the current COVID-19 Prevention Orders will expire at 12:01 a.m. on May 12, 2021.  For more information about any changes that may take effect once the current Orders expire, please visit www.4h.mb.ca.
