Southwest Area Sleepover – October 14-15, 2017

On October 14-15, 2017 96 excited 4-H’ers and 20 chaperones travelled to Winnipeg to the Manitoba Museum for their annual sleepover event.  It was a fantastic time! Members investigated the interactive Science Gallery and then spent time touring the museum with their guides.  They boarded the Nonsuch, watched a mad scientist create explosions, ate pizza, listened to stories and checked out the exhibits.  A “sometimes scary” flashlight tour and a private showing of Night at the Museum” finished off a late night. While many of the members had little sleep, they were awake and on the bus by 8:45am.  The bus ride home was much quieter than the bus ride in. Southwest Area thanks the Manitoba Museum for a great time and their sponsors, Manitoba 4-H Council and SeCan, for subsidising the costs!
